Introducing Micro:bit

Updated: Mar 11, 2019

Micro:bit is an hardware ARM - based embedded system designed by BBC for use in computer education. A Micro:bit has 25 red LED lights that can flash messages and also be used to create many different types games. There are two programmable buttons that can be used to control games and the button can be used to many other things. When we started playing around with the Micro:bits, we did some projects like the Love Meter, Flashing Heart, Name Tag and other very cool things. When playing with Micro:bit you have to use codes in order to do certain things, it's somewhat a pain in the butt, but it is very worth it at the end of the day. The neatest/ best/ funnest activity that I did was micro chat because me and my friend Ayub communicated through Micro:bits just like how you would like a cell phone. A problem in the world that we could solve in the world with Micro:bit is tracking how many steps you take when you walk, or we could check the temperature of something else.
